Our Story

Meet our founder Dr. James Lozier, DDS

Dr James Lozier grew up in Hamilton Square, NJ and attended Trenton State College in Ewing, NJ. He studied Biology and Chemistry while at TSC before attending Georgetown University School of Dentistry in Washington DC. Dr. Lozier earned his DDS degree in 1988. Dr Lozier always had and has a passion for teaching and while opening his practice in Hamilton Square, NJ, in 1992 he developed Dental Decks Part I and Part II which became the number one study aid in the world for preparing Dental students for their National Board Exams. In 1996  he was forced to “retire” from clinical dentistry due to carpel tunnel syndrome in both hands. He continued to update and move Dental Decks to the forefront of National Board study material. It has been estimated that he has helped over 350,000 Dental students all over the world succeed on their National Board Exams. 

In 2011, Dr. Lozier sold Dental Decks to Oakstone Publishing located in Birmingham, Alabama. In January 2015, Oakstone Publishing was acquired by Ebix, Inc. Dr. Lozier subsequently left Ebix in July of 2015. For the next 8 years, Dr. Lozier and his Team developed the Digital Dental Notes in anticipation for the INBDE which finally came to fruition in 2023. He truly believes this total INBDE study program will become the “The Gold Standard for INBDE Preparation.” He is married to Susan Lozier. He has two adult children Ashley and Jimmy and his dog Jax whom he fondly refers to as “the man.” 

Dr. Lacey Harris, DMD, MSD

Dr. Lacey Harris attended the University of Mississippi for dental school, followed by the University of Texas at Houston for her orthodontic residency program.  While at UT Houston, Dr. Harris served as chief resident and won awards for her research and residency cases, including winning the Invisalign® University Challenge Award. 

Dr. Harris currently divides her time between private practice at Harris, Ellis, and Moon Orthodontics in Pearland, and UT Houston where she is a Clinical Associate Professor and holds the Bonham Magness Endowed Professorship.  At UT Houston, she serves as course director for the DDS didactic and clinical orthodontic courses and is an attending faculty in the graduate orthodontic clinic.

Dr. Harris is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and serves on various committees at UT Houston and within organized orthodontics.  She is married to Dr. Chris Harris, a pediatric dentist, and they have two children.

Dr. Partha Mukherji, DDS

Dr. Partha Mukherji has been practicing general dentistry for 23 years. He currently resides and serves patients in Fort Worth, TX. He is a former adjunct assistant professor at Texas A&M School of Dentistry where he taught part-time for 4 years. He holds Fellowships in the Academy of General Dentistry, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, American College of Dentists, Pierre Fauchard Academy and International College of Dentists. Furthermore, he holds various leadership positions with dental organizations including Texas Dental Association, Texas AGD, AGD, and ICD.

Dr. Ashley Clark, DDS, FACD, FICD

Dr. Ashley Clark is a board-certified oral pathologist currently serving as the Vice President of CAMP Laboratory in Indianapolis, Indiana after a nearly decade-long career serving as an oral pathologist in academia. She is on the Professional Board for Oral Cancer Cause and Digital Dental Notes and the Advisory Board for General Dentistry. Dr. Clark has won several teaching awards, has provided over 150 continuing education courses, and has authored more than 50 publications and book chapters. She is a member of the American and International College of Dentists. 

Dr. Samer Abdelsamie, BDS, DMD, FACS, FICD

Dr. Samer Abdelsamie, BDS, DMD, FACS, FICD, is a board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon practicing in the Philadelphia, PA, area. He is also board-certified by the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology (NDBA) and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI).
Dr. Abdelsamie holds fellowship status in the American College of Surgeons (FACS), the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS), the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (IAOMS), the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology (ADSA), and the International Congress of Oral Implantology (ICOI). He is also an active member of numerous regional, national, and international organizations.  Dr, Abdelsamie has numerous research publications, and case reports.
Dr Abdelsamie attended Cairo University Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine, after which he joined Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry to complete his Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree. Finally, he completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Training at Loyola University Medical Center. He is completing his Master of Science in Clinical Service Operation at Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Abdelsamie’s dedication to his profession is evident in his rich clinical and academic experience. Practicing in the Philadelphia, PA area, he finds fulfillment in private practice. He has also served as an attending Surgeon at Temple Health System, St. Christopher Hospital for Children, and Crozer University Medical Center. Furthermore, he has been a clinical Assistant professor at Lewis Katz School of Medicine, Department of Surgery, and Associate program director for academic affairs of the Temple University Hospital Residency Program.
Dr. Abdelsamie’s innovative approach to healthcare is a testament to his special interests. He is dedicated to overcoming the limitations of different healthcare systems, utilizing and developing new concepts, and maximizing the use of technology in Surgery and education. His specific areas of interest include digitization in healthcare, artificial intelligence, virtual surgical planning, and 3D printing, which he incorporates into his daily practice to treat, educate patients, and train residents.

No, you can use the Digital Dental Notes for as long as you need them until you pass your

Are these Digital Dental Notes the same as the old Dental Decks?

No, Dr. James Lozier and his Team developed the new Digital Dental Notes specifically for the
INBDE. He sold the old Dental Decks 10 years ago as they are no longer relevant for the INBDE.

Will I be required to attend a physical classroom for the Digital Dental Notes study program?

No, Digital Dental Notes is a web-based study program. You can log-in anywhere on your
mobile device with your username and password. You as the student can study at your own
pace and place (i.e., on the train, in the lab, in the clinic, in the comforts of your own home).
